We proudly offer this Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee from the Aricha washing station near the village of Edido. This variety of coffee is harvested from heirloom varieties of Ethiopian coffee plants. Ox and Crow’s Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is a medium roasted coffee with a delicate and complex mouthfeel. During our tasting, we experience flavor notes of sweet caramelized sugar, black tea, and peaches. We find this coffee to be juicy and complex. We purchase our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe from our friends at Cafe Imports in Minneapolis, MN.
This regional select Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is produced in small roast batches and hand packaged by Ox and Crow Coffee Roasters, a woman owned coffee roaster in Lake Elmo, MN. This coffee is meant to be savored all on its own. We recommend brewing this coffee with a Hario V60 pour over system using 198 degree Fahrenheit water at a brew ratio of 16 parts water to one part coffee. When we brew, we select a finer than drip coffee grind so our brew process takes 3 minutes after a 30 second wait period for coffee blooming. As it cools, look for the peach and stone fruit notes in the flavor profile to come alive. Truly, this coffee is an amazing experience!
