When I first starting studying coffee beyond what I was getting at chain store coffee shops, I fell in love with Guatemala coffee. It is the coffee that really made me realize what the broader coffee universe had to offer. “That coffee” that did it for me was a Guatemala from the Huehuetenango (Way-Way for short) region. In honor of that experience, Ox and Crow Coffee Roasters has a Guatemala Huehuetenango coffee as part of our offerings. This coffee is great for coffee drinkers that want to stray away from dark roast to see what else is lurking out there in terms of taste but not stray too far away from what they currently like. This Guate is like training wheels for your coffee awakening. The cup is a balanced sweet and citric profile with tasting notes of chocolate, lemon citrus, and maybe a hint of cherry. Because of it’s versatility, this coffee is also the basis of our espresso! Try a bag today and see the world in a whole new way!
Our Guatemala Huehuetenango coffee purchased from Cafe Imports in Minneapolis. This coffee is small batch roasted and hand packaged by Ox and Crow Coffee Roasters, a woman owned coffee roaster in Lake Elmo, MN.
