As a coffee roaster, we have been paying close attention to the coffees from El Salvador. This honey processed, Chalate Microlot, El Salvador coffee was purchased from Cafe Imports in Minneapolis, MN, and it does not disappoint. We love this coffee for it’s simple but unique profile. It has a balanced mouthfeel with notes of chocolate, strawberry, blueberry, and a tart fruit acidity. A perfect cup to awaken your taste buds in the morning! We purchased this coffee in two small 35 kg bags, so get some today before this wonderful limited edition coffee runs out.
This Chalate Microlot, El Salvador honey processed coffee is produced in small roast batches and hand packaged by Ox and Crow Coffee Roasters, a woman owned coffee roaster in Lake Elmo, MN. This coffee pairs well with anything chocolate where the mixture of chocolate and fruity cup results in a perfect collision of coffee flavor. We recommend brewing this coffee with a Hario V60 pour over system using 198 degree Fahrenheit water at a brew ratio of 16 parts water to one part coffee. We selected a finer than drip coffee grind to time our brew process to 3 minutes 15 seconds after a 30 second wait period for coffee blooming.
