Have you ever awoke in the morning and felt like going out the door “au naturale”? Well, we are here to help at Ox and Crow Coffee Roasters. Our Honduras natural coffee is tres unique. A natural coffee starts its journey on the coffee farm after picking. Instead of removing the coffee cherry fruit in the coffee mill, the whole coffee cherry, including the coffee beans, is dried in raised beds. Since the coffee cherry was left in tact during the drying process, the coffee produced using this process has a fruitier taste and aroma that is truly unique. Once dried, the coffee production is finished and sent to us for roasting from Finca Terrerito in Corquin, Copan, Honduras. Finca Terrerito is a small veteran owned coffee farm that is dedicated to ethical, sustainable, organic farming practices. Finca Terrerito is certified bird friendly and supports gender equality through Con Manos De Mujer, an organization that certifies agricultural producers for gender equality based on their policies and practices.
Natural processed coffees are produced in small roast batches and hand packaged by Ox and Crow Coffee Roasters, a woman owned coffee roaster in Lake Elmo, MN. Our Honduras natural processed coffee has a smooth and pleasing mouth feel with tasting notes of berry, chocolate, and a gentile, sweet finish. This coffee pairs well with savory items like a basil egg scramble with a side of bacon. It is perfect way to start your work day “au naturale” and still be socially acceptable!
