African coffees are some of the most diverse and unique coffees of the world. This Kenyan AA Kichwa Tembo from Café Imports is a backbone coffee for Ox and Crow Coffee Roasters. It is so versatile. We use it in our espresso blend to add some lemon citrus and tart acidity. We use it in our cold brew and we think it gives us a unique flavor profile that almost tastes like a malt when you add some cream to the cold brew press. Finally, you can brew this coffee using your Hario pour over and get a clean, balanced cup of coffee with notes of lemon citrus, caramelized sugar and smooth finish. With this coffee, we use a strict 16:1 brew ratio with 197 degree F water.
Our Kichwa Tembo Kenya AA coffee is purchased from Cafe Imports in Minneapolis. This coffee is small batch roasted and hand packaged by Ox and Crow Coffee Roasters, a woman owned coffee roaster in Lake Elmo, MN.
